This wooden spool goes with the Mary Allcorn Scissor Holder pattern (which is sold separately). This spool will only work with the pattern if you stitch it on the 40 count linen, as called for in the pattern. You could buy the spool, regardless, and use it as is, or find another pattern to go 'round it.
