Quaker Schoolgirl Needle Necessities by With My Needle
This sewing case, needlebook, and scissors sheath were inspired by the motifs of Ackworth School, a Quaker school in northern England, which was founded in 1779. The models were stitched on 32-count Maple Sugar from Lakeside Linens, Inc. using one ply of Milady's Teal from Crescent Colours. DMC Cotton Perle #12, color 644 (to match the linen) was also used.
Stitches used: cross stitch and backstitch
Stitching directions, charts, and detailed assembly instructions are included. A short essay on Ackworth School and its needlework is also included.
