Mercy Goodehart Sampler chart
This one was really fun to design and even more fun to stitch. The border is different on all four sides (so you don't get sick of stitching the same old thing). You also will find strawberries, a striped bird, a butterfly, caterpillar and chrysallis, an olde village, and a lovely verse:
All of you be subject one to another,
And be clothed with humility
For God resisteth the proud,
And giveth grace to the humble
humbly stitched by Mercy Goodehart in her 12th year 1806
This is NOT a reproduction sampler, but is an original design. I recommend Needlepoint Silks, but a DMC conversion is provided. The recommended fabric is 36 count Vintage Exemplar by Lakeside Linens. There are some areas of over-one (some of the words.) So, this may not be the easiest chart to work on Aida, although it is possible.
