This design is a reproduction of an antique theorem from the early 1800's I found in Pennsylvania (shown above).  I found it at an outdoor antique market in 20-degree weather with crazy cold winds blowing!  I couldn't take my eyes off of it and knew immediately what I wanted to do.  It HAD to become a sampler!

The process was quite a task, but I loved every moment of it!  I ended up using 24 shades of Needlepoint Silk, for which I apologize.  I've narrowed the colors down as much as I could.

This design was stitched on 40-Count Almond Milk linen from Grace Notes Fabrics.  It's stitched with cross stitches, a few French knots and a few back stitches.

Needlepoint Silk colors used:  149, 183, 225, 242, 244, 332, 345, 346, 545, 563, 564, 566, 584, 692, 694, 696, 715, 753, 755, 851, 901, 986, 993.

The stitch Count is 138 Wide by 174 High.
