Continental Sampler 1744 by The Scarlet Letter
These are from the School of Juda Hayle in Suffolk, England (Ipswich) Stitches used in these samplers are cross, double running, eyelet, back, counted satin, tent, trellis, half cross, Queen, and stem.
Marsha has been reproducing samplers longer than pretty much anyone. I was lucky to tour her farmstead back in the 90s, and it continues to be a memorable day. Her reproduction charts are thorough, and come with stitch diagrams. Please know that many of them are hand-drawn charts, but they are easy to read, and so, so fun to stitch!
