Once you place your order, you will get an e-mail with a link where you can pick up your download. Make sure you get your e-mail address correct during your purchase, and also make sure to download the chart within a 30-day window, after which time, the link expires. The actual (physical) chart is in another listing.
This Quaker-style sampler is folk art perfection. Angular elements like letters and dividing bands are paired with organic motifs like flowers, a bird, and a leafy border to make a pleasing piece. Stitches on this piece include cross stitch over-one and over-two, satin stitch, four-sided stitch (a favorite of mine!), and RICE STITCHES (which I absolutely love! As usual, the chart comes with a photograph of the original antique and commentary on the sampler.
Supplies used for the model are:
Weeks Dye Works Bee's Knees, Beige, Caper (3 skeins), Cornsilk, Pecan, and Sampler Threads Blue Spruce, Brethren Blue, Mountain Mist, and Portabella. Fabric is 40 count Morning Coffee by Xjudesigns. Stitch count is 199 by 227. A DMC conversion is provided, and will yield slightly different results, but will still be real, real pretty.
Verse:
Light as the summer’s dews that rest
On flowers that scent the morning air
So soft so sweet to sorrow’s breast
Is friendship’s smile and pity’s tear
