The stitching and sampler community has just experienced the loss of one of its brightest stars: Jean Lea of The Attic in Mesa, Arizona. Jean's enthusiasm for samplers old and new was evident in everything she did, and she truly delighted in passing on her love of needlework to the larger community.
Jean faced her illness with spirit and a positive attitude, and continued her involvement with her much-loved shop and retreats until the end.
No doubt her love and enthusiasm will live on in the hearts, minds, and needlework of those she touched. Her beauty remains in those who knew her.
OF COURSE I had to get this one in -- two sweet girls in their dresses with black kittens! (Swoon!!!) What a lovely piece! There are two models. A cross stitch one which is a reproduction as charted within the booklet then another model worked from the cross stitched chart but with 20 different speciality stitches to show how you can be creative.
